Frequently Asked Questions
Who are lessons for?We teach beginners, returners, and intermediate pianists, as well as students who want to strengthen their music theory (including ABRSM-style theory). If you’re not sure what level you’re at, book a free taster and we’ll recommend the best starting point.
What do I need for an online piano lesson? If you’d like to learn online with us, you’ll need a piano or keyboard and a device with a camera and microphone (laptop/tablet is best). A stable internet connection helps.
No fancy equipment required at all!
How does the free taster session work? The free taster is a short, relaxed session to check your setup, chat about your goals, and get a feel for how lessons work. You’ll leave with clear next steps. There’s no pressure to continue.
Do you teach adults (and people who feel 'behind')?Yes: lots of our students are adults, including people coming back after years away. You don’t need to ‘catch-up’ or prove anything; we’ll build confidence and consistency from wherever you’re starting.
Can you help with ABRSM, exams, or specific pieces?Yes. We can support ABRSM/Trinity-style practical preparation, music theory, and help you learn specific pieces you love. In your first paid lesson we’ll agree a plan (exam-focused, hobby-focused, or a mix).
What’s your cancellation / rescheduling policy?Lessons must be cancelled or rescheduled with at least 24 hours’ notice. Changes within 24 hours aren’t refundable, because we can’t fill the slot at short notice. You agree to these terms and conditions when you book with us.
If you’re unwell, let us know as soon as you can and we’ll do everything we can to accommodate you.
